1. General Policy

All donations made to Cutie P.A.W.S. are nonrefundable except in limited circumstances outlined below.

Donations may include:

• Online contributions

• Mailed checks

• In-person contributions

• Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) grants

• Corporate matches

• Recurring monthly donations

 

2. Eligible Refund Situations

Refunds may be considered for the following:

• Duplicate donations

• Incorrect donation amounts

• Technical or processing errors

• Fraud or unauthorized transactions

Refunds must be requested within 30 days of the donation.

 

3. Ineligible Refund Situations

Refunds cannot be issued for:

• Donations made intentionally and voluntarily

• Tax-receipted gifts (unless error occurred)

• Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) grants (IRS prohibits refunding these)

• Gifts made in exchange for goods or services already received (e.g., merchandise)

• Adoption fees

• Event tickets, raffle entries, or auction purchases

 

4. Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)

DAF grants cannot be refunded under any circumstances, per IRS regulations.
DAF sponsoring organizations retain legal control of funds.
