Building proactive animal-welfare infrastructure across Northern and rural Nevada
Cutie P.A.W.S. is grateful for every gift supporting rescue, rehabilitation, foster care, TNRh, emergency boarding, rural outreach, and Sagebrush Sanctuary.
1. General Policy
Charitable donations are generally final and nonrefundable. This policy applies to online and in-person contributions, mailed gifts, recurring donations, matching gifts, and grants, subject to the rules of the payment method and applicable law.
2. Requests We May Consider
We may consider a refund for a duplicate charge, incorrect amount, processing error, or verified unauthorized transaction. Please contact us within 30 days of the transaction so we can investigate promptly.
- Donor name
- Donation date and amount
- Transaction or receipt reference, if available
- Reason for the request
3. Gifts Generally Not Eligible
- Intentional voluntary donations
- Adoption fees or other program fees
- Event tickets, raffle entries, auction purchases, or merchandise
- Gifts connected to goods or services already provided
- Gifts already transferred, spent for their restricted purpose, or otherwise not legally returnable
4. Donor-Advised Funds and Third-Party Gifts
A donor-advised fund sponsoring organization—not the recommending donor—has legal control of a DAF grant. DAF grants generally cannot be returned to the recommending donor. Any correction or return must be coordinated directly with the sponsoring organization and handled in accordance with applicable rules. Corporate matches and gifts made through third-party platforms may also be subject to the provider’s policies.
5. Refund Method and Recurring Gifts
Approved refunds are ordinarily returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on the payment provider. Canceling a recurring gift stops future scheduled charges but does not automatically refund earlier donations.
