Cutie P.A.W.S. was founded on a simple truth:
Every cat deserves more than a shelter, they deservce a sanctuary — and every community deserves support in caring for them.

After years of serving in cage-free sanctuary environments, we saw the gap across rural Nevada:

cats with nowhere safe to go
-
families facing crises with no boarding options
-
overwhelmed rescues with no space
-
and entire counties without TNR or community & feral-cat support.​
We created Cutie P.A.W.S. to fill that gap with a whole-health rescue model grounded in compassion, trauma-informed care, and community connection.
Everything we do comes back to this belief:

Cutie P.A.W.S. provides a free-roaming sanctuary, medical and behavioral rehabilitation, adoption, and lifelong care for Nevada’s most vulnerable cats — while building programs that uplift the people who care for them. Through partnerships with seniors, at-risk youth, and re-entry programs, we create opportunities for healing, education, and service. Our mission extends beyond rescue: to redefine what sanctuary means by making wellness, empathy, and second chances accessible to all.

A Nevada where every cat has safety, wellness, and belonging — and every community has the tools to protect, educate, and care.
We envision a future in which holistic, cage-free sanctuary becomes the standard of feline welfare, and where rescue centers double as spaces of learning and healing for people. By integrating animal care, human services, and outreach across rural regions, Cutie P.A.W.S. is building a sustainable, replicable model of compassion in action — one that proves that when people and animals thrive together.
