Providing Animal Wellness & Sanctuary

Building a Smarter Model for Animal Welfare
Cutie P.A.W.S. (Providing Animal Wellness & Sanctuary) was founded with one clear understanding:
Rescue alone is not enough.
Across Nevada and beyond, shelters are overwhelmed, rural communities lack access to veterinary care, and families facing hardship are often forced to surrender beloved pets due to circumstances outside their control.
We believe animal welfare must evolve from reactive crisis management to proactive community infrastructure.
That evolution starts here.
The Problem with Reactive Rescue
Traditional systems often operate in emergency mode:
-
Overcapacity shelters
-
Burned-out foster networks
-
Limited access to affordable veterinary care
-
Housing instability affecting pet retention
-
Municipal response driven by overflow, not prevention
While lifesaving, this model addresses symptoms — not root causes.
Cutie P.A.W.S. is designed to address both.
Our Infrastructure Model
We are building an integrated system that strengthens communities while protecting cats.
Our approach includes:
TNRh (Trap-Neuter-Rehabilitate-heal)
Population mitigation combined with medical stabilization and rehabilitation.
Whole-Health Sanctuary Care
For cats who cannot be safely returned or adopted, we provide structured, long-term sanctuary care supported by holistic and evidence-based medical approaches.
Rural Nevada Outreach
Expanding services into underserved communities where access to care is limited and overpopulation is highest.
Pet Retention & Emergency Support
Helping families keep their pets during temporary hardship through resources, referrals, and community partnerships.
Foster-Driven Rehabilitation
A structured foster network focused on behavioral healing, socialization, and stability.
Cross-Organization Collaboration
Serving as a resource hub for rescues, shelters, and human service agencies to increase collective capacity rather than compete for it.
Data-Informed Decision Making
Using metrics and outcomes to drive sustainable growth, not emotional reaction.
Our Vision
We envision a Nevada where:
-
No cat enters a shelter because support was unavailable.
-
Rural communities have access to veterinary care and population control resources.
-
Sanctuary care is dignified, structured, and sustainable.
-
Collaboration replaces competition in animal welfare.
-
People and pets are supported together.
Cutie P.A.W.S. is building toward that future — intentionally, strategically, and sustainably.
Get Involved
This work is community-powered.
Whether you donate, foster, volunteer, or advocate, you become part of a system designed to protect both animals and the families who love them.
Together, we are not just rescuing cats.
We are redesigning how animal welfare works.
Why It Matters
Every cat surrendered represents a systems failure somewhere upstream — housing instability, economic hardship, lack of veterinary access, or community breakdown.
By strengthening the system before crisis occurs, we:
-
Reduce unnecessary shelter intake
-
Increase pet retention
-
Expand safe capacity
-
Protect vulnerable populations
-
Build sustainable networks instead of short-term fixes
Animal welfare is not just about rescue.
It is about structure, prevention, and long-term stability.
